| Challenge: A part of the (WBS) work breakdown structure of the project was to localize the old designed reports and set attributes to some string cases to differentiate between headers, higher lower cases, etc, However, these reports were developed in actuate tool,and this tool does not support localization, as it mainly a report developing tool. As a result, we were unable to define the scope of the project lik e word count, platform used in translation, resource allocation and other project related information that were needed to be able to start the project. |
Our Solution:
The PM called for a meeting with FutureTrans development team. After analyzing the problem, the development team decided to develop a customized application using Delphi language that reads Actuate reposts and convert it to editable remarkable XMLs.
Afterwards, our Localization Engineers analyzed the files and we were able to make use of repetitions and protected tags and headers in the files. As a result, the project scope was clearly defined and we could start it and finalize it very easily and smoothly.
The result was a fully localized actuate reports without any errors. In addition, we delivered the project before the due date which made the client very satisfied.
